Sir David Attenborough was delighting
Post by: Esther Farrant
The atmosphere was incredible here at nature divers last night where we had another fantastic movie night under the stars. The punch was poured, the dips prepared and Sir David Attenborough was delighting us all with interesting facts about the mystical “Deep Ocean” on BBCs Blue Planet.
There were plenty of happy viewers all being drawn in by the enticing drinks and nibbles, loving the opportunity to relax in front of the large screen in the shallows on the beach. The nature divers team did a stunning job answering questions about what our nature nights are all about and guests and locals alike are all supportive of what we are doing here for raising conservation awareness. Some guests were so inspired by the nature night they want to get fully involved; Angela and her sister have both booked on to come for an explorative snorkel, Karen and John from Canada have booked to join us for a research dive to learn more about the data collection we carry out here, and several others were keen to find out more about our beach clean-up events.
So if you are planning your next holiday to Roatan make sure you schedule in a nature night, it is all happening again next week with a different movie and even more happy volunteers to tell you about the local reef and the different projects where you can get involved! Watch this space for the next nature update or join us for another magic night of conversation, conservation, and community!
